Startup Incubator in the first half of 2019

The first half of the year was exciting and busy for Tehnopol Startup Incubator. A record number of people attended events organized by the incubator, we introduced our services outside the campus and mentored also startups who were not in our portfolio. Here’s a brief summary of what happened:

1. 43 startups in portfolio, applied 91.
2. 700 000€ of private investors’ capital involved.
3. 33 seminars/events with 1200 participants.
4. Ajujaht alumni program, where we mentored 19 teams.
5. Incubator got a new look – 6 awesome meeting rooms and ca 25 workstations in open offices.
6. L59 startup demoarea, where ca 60 startups presented their ideas, ca 2500 people visited the area.
7. We organized greentech accelerator program PRIMER, 21 green startups passed the program.
8. We organized the final of the largest competition in Central and Eastern Europe PowerUp! by InnoEnergy, where out of the 9 startups the winner was Roofit.solar

We are preparing for some big changes and some of them are already in the second half of this year. Let’s see what the other half of the year brings:

1. We are launching the gov-tech idea, where we help digital country solutions to be ready for investments.
2. We are expanding with activities and more and more physically across Estonia – we open Narva unit and continue in Pärnu, Viljandi, Võru, islands.
3. We grow our portfolio up to 50 companies.
4. We are expanding our open areas, including our cooperation center.
5. We launch EU projects that help our businesses to grow faster.

Also we are happy to announce that Startup Incubator has a new service manager Anne-Liisa!
