Bidrento reached the final of the European Start-up Summit

Startup Incubator presents proudly the success story of Bidrento, a start-up that develops software to simplify the management of rental real estate. Recently a great amount of money (six-digits) was invested into the start-up by Pipedrive’s founders to expand into foreign markets and grow its team.

According to Urmas Purde, the founder of Pipedrive, he invested in Bidrento because he believes in both the team and the idea. As a property owner, he is familiar with management problems and thus sees that Bidrento solves the problem with his product in a very real way.

Bidrento plans to use the money raised to grow the team – currently looking for new team members in eight roles, from software and product development to marketing and sales positions.

In addition, they plan to continue expanding to foreign markets vigorously. Achieving a good position in the Estonian market will certainly give you the courage. For the time being, the focus is on Central Europe in terms of the foreign market, but the company’s CEO and co-founder Taavo Annus will not rule out global expansion, because for a cloud-based solution borders are not a big problem.

Bidrento reached the final of the European Start-up Summit

Bidrento was the only Estonian company to reach the final of the EU-Startup Summit start-up competition. The competition was intense and the TOP15 was chosen from more than 1,000 different start-ups.

“Reaching the finals and being among the hottest European start-ups is a very good achievement in itself. The competition was indeed intense and the competition covered the whole of the European Union. Bidrento is the only startup from Estonia to make it to the finals. It is a very proud feeling and at the same time responsible to represent Estonia at such a big event, “said Taavo Annus, CEO and co-founder of Bidrento to FoundME.

How has the Startup Incubator program helped?

In regards to the support that’s been given by the program, Taavo Annus says: “We have had good meetings where we could practice pitching with other teams and give each other feedback – it was a very valuable experience where we got good feedback and made great progress. You can also contact mentors, ask questions and discuss topics from law to UX.”

For somebody considering joining Startup Incubator programme Annus adds: “We have seen in our example that the best results definitely come when the whole team contributes full time. Then the mentoring and other things have the most value, because if you just do monthly sessions without further steps, this information may get lost. The incubator can be a great support if the teams develop along with the program. As start-up teams are usually smaller in the beginning and do not have all the know-how themselves, it is very good to get it from the incubator.”
